Not long after returning from Idaho I had a work trip to Oregon. Pretty sweet, huh? Especially since I'd get to see Odin and Freya. (Oh, and Scott and Jo.)
Work was good. I loved the food-truck-pavilion vibe in Bend. The Northern Light didn't show for our first night's hike, but the sunset was lit (as the kids say) and hiking with old friends again (canine and human) was awesome.
I got to paddleboard in a very forgiving environment, though it would have been nice if someone had told me I had mud on my head after my first big spill.
And the short work adventure wrapped up with a stab at another Cascade volcano. We didn't summit, but I didn't expect to. It still counts.
If work was always like this, I'd put in 80 hour weeks all the time.
