I certainly remember what it was like to have a little one on every single adventure. We didn't go as hard and often sacrificed to ensure they had fun. Poor Tink. She's living this world now.
It's not that we don't have fun when Tilly is with us, we just can't go the places we used to. So when we have a day when Tilly stays home, I try to make it a special day.
Under blue skies, we headed out early for the Tinkham Tour. Up Tinkham Peak, back to the Tinkham Tarns, and all the while with Tinkham leading the way. I guess we could make it more Tinkham if we drove on Tinkham Road, but honestly it's not that great a drive.
Needless to say, Tink was thrilled. We had great views (yes, she does care) and a great swim (she always cares). I try to do this one every year. It's usually later due to snow, but... well... you know.
Next year, Tilly will be with us and I'm sure having just as much fun.
