You've probably guessed by now that Tilly will be a mountain dog. She has no choice in the matter. And although we start 'em young, we take a measured approach. And she still has another couple of weeks before she's fully vaccinated so we stayed off the beaten path.
Saturday, we found a little climber's trail that got us kind of near a summit and then went off-trail to get there. Get used to picking your way through the brush and experiencing snow in late spring.
Sunday, we ventured into the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. No lakes, but the waterfall was as lovely as expected. Tilly's still not totally sold on water, but Tink had a blast to no one's surprise.
Monday, a holiday, Lilly joined me and we visited Tilly's first lake. There was some wading happening, but no full-on swimming just yet. Patience. We'll get there.
After each of these adventures Tilly was a much more mellow puppy. Kinda makes me want to wear her out every morning.
