Huh

They say red eye flights are a young person's game. HA! We're seasoned travelers. It's no big deal. Until it was. Some time between the last time we did a red eye and this time, we got old. I know, I know. It's hard to tell but the key tells are the wrinkles, the gray hair, and the fact we both have a pair of readers with us at all times. Still, Starbucks saved the day!

After landing in Philadelphia, we headed not to our hotel (the sensible, mature thing to do), but west to Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site. You might recall, we're kind of big fans of the National Park Service. After a long time being homebound, this was a chance to see some new Parks so of course we took it.

Hopewell Furnace is a nice site. I knew nothing about it before we started looking for NPS sites in Pennsylvania. It's an example of the type of industry that made up the early United States. It was amazing to hear how it became a hub for people in the surrounding area and provided them opportunities to work.

It's a decent sized site, which was critical for us as we waited for the caffeine to do its thing. We wandered through the buildings and along the old road. And just when I thought this was a one-hit wonder, nope. We saw a Hopewell Furnace stove at another site!

It was a great spot to start our short, but intense adventure. Can you guess which NPS site comes next?
