Summer is so much sweeter when it's over. It's easy to forget about the bugs and the heat when you have the luxury of a couch in front of the fireplace. Plus, holy cow it was a great day.
The only downside to this trip was Tink wasn't feeling well so I had to go solo. But I wasn't alone. All of nature was there with me. Pikas chirped at me. Marmots lounged in the sun. Mosquitoes nagged me when I slowed down.
And of course the Mountain was my companion once I got high enough to clear the mountains to the south. She was looking particularly fetching in her skimpy summer cloak of snow and ice.
And now it's cold and raining. Hopefully, we'll get some snow soon. That'll renew the glaciers on the Mountain and make the sunny days of summer all the better.
