Where's all the dust?
You promised me dust!
And there I was thinking all the hikes on the east side of the mountains were dry, dusty affairs. I certainly was expecting this trip to be like that. For sure the first mile is like that. Steep, dusty, and hot as heck.
After that, though, the valley is gorgeous and full of glorious life and bright flowers. Tink wasn't expecting it to suck the whole way so she wasn't that surprised. The rest of us, though, were completely smacked.
Kinda makes me want to try a bunch of other adventures that I'd written off as no fun.
