Is it strong enough to keep you going up a familiar trail when you're wheezing like an asthmatic?

Strong enough to sustain you without air while you go through swarms of mosquitos?

Strong enough to climb into the clouds?

Is it strong enough to stand in the chilling, featureless gray while everyone else heads down to the bar?

This night my faith took me to the top of Mt. Defiance, stuck in the middle of a cloud. While others headed down to the lowlands two of us remained. Little by little, the cloud left us standing in the sunlight, casting a spectre, and reveling in the views we alone were granted.

There have been plenty of times when faith hasn't delivered, but tonight it came through in fine form.
